JMA Human Reliability Strategies, LLC Director

Many companies try to eliminate workplace errors, but can't. I show leaders why errors are signals, not failures, and how to address the deeper problem, so that everyone can work more reliably and safely. Before launching my speaking & consulting practice in 2015, I served as the Human Performance (HP) Lead of a 3,600 person department in Dominion Energy. There, I advised executives, taught field teams, helped analyze over 300 incidents, created a Near Miss Library, and led a national team of HP specialists for 3 years. I've led hundreds of practical workshops on After Action Reviews (AARs), Psychological Safety, Situational Awareness, Resilience, and "Why we can't proceduralize everything." I specialize in working with engineers and other technical experts in the Energy industry. I earned a Ph.D. in Education, and personally served on high reliability teams as a firefighter, an EMT, and a military paratrooper. To learn more, visit www.reliableorg.com
